Did you know? The first collaboration dates back to 1986 when the artist designed four watches before opening his infamous Pop Shop on Lafayette Street in downtown New York. The designs were then sold in his store in a limited edition and remain some of the most collectible Swatch watches today.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Keith Haring was born in Pennsylvania in 1958 and raised by his mother Joan Haring, and father Allen Haring, an engineer and amateur cartoonist, along with his three sisters. He discovered a love for drawing at an early age and studied commercial art from 1976 to 1978 at Pittsburgh's Ivy School of Professional Art before dropping out.
“...My father made cartoons. Since I was little, I had been doing cartoons, creating characters and stories. In my mind, though, there was a separation between cartooning and being an ‘artist’...”
In 1978, Haring moved to New York City, home to a thriving underground art scene, as a scholarship student at the School of Visual Arts.
Riding the subway, he noticed empty black advertising panels on station walls. Using white chalk, he began filling these with his signature bold lines and images. These soon attracted New York commuters and the city authorities' attention: Haring was arrested for vandalism on numerous occasions.
Eventually, Haring’s work was seen everywhere, from public murals and nightclubs to galleries and museums worldwide and helped fund children's literacy projects and AIDS awareness initiatives. He died of AIDS-related complications in 1990, at age 31.
